On July 28, the 2nd Sino-German Intelligent Manufacturing Entrepreneurs Meeting was held in Nanjing. Nearly 300 enterprises, scientific research institutions, and industry organizations from China and Germany, including Siemens, Phoenix, China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation (CASIC), and the German industry federation (BDI) attended the meeting. Luo Qun, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Nanjing Municipal Committee and the full-time Deputy Secretary of the Party Working Committee of Nanjing Jiangbei New Area, attended and addressed the meeting.
The meeting was hosted by the China Center for Information Industry Development (CCID), Jiangbei New Area Administrative Committee, Nanjing Municipal Commission of Economy and Information Technology, and Sino-German Intelligent Manufacturing Alliance. The purpose was to build a platform for entrepreneurs, gather strength for industry development, and coordinate China’s “Made in China 2025” program with Germany’s “Industrial 4.0” strategy.
At the meeting, CCID and the Jiangbei New Area Administrative Committee signed an agreement to jointly build the China Artificial Intelligence Industry Innovation Base. It is reported to be the only state-level artificial intelligence industry innovation base in Jiangsu. Jiangbei New Area Administrative Committee will organize high-end forums, technical exchanges, brand displays, incubation road shows, and other activities to help attract investment and introduce talent for the base. In the future, based on the development path of the sub-industries of the artificial intelligence industry and the specific project situation, CCID and the Jiangbei New Area Administrative Committee will jointly design sub-industry policies, formulate overall industry planning, build a regional common technology cooperation and innovation platform, and promote the demonstration and application of artificial intelligence technology.
Nine companies, including Phoenix (China) Investment Co., Ltd., MAHLE Engine Components (Nanjing) Co., Ltd., Nanjing Iron & Steel Co., Ltd., Messer China Investment Co., Ltd., Suzhou Land Group, Nanjing General Electric Equipment Co., Ltd.
