located in Gaochun County, Nanjing with a designed total area of 16 square kilometers, it functions to serve hi-tech innovators and entrepreneurs, to incubate hi-tech startups and to develop strategic emerging industries and modern service industries based on its three major branches including the Multinational Corporate R&D Park, the Binhu Hi-tech Park and the North Hi-tech New Town. The Community has acquired more than 4,000 mu of land and has relocated 120,000 square meters of houses while accomplishing and launching 305,000 square meters of innovation carriers such as the national-level Innovation-driven SME Incubation Base and the New Community Hi-tech Entrepreneurship Center. Particularly, the Hi-tech Entrepreneurship Center has attracted 30 entities including the Internet of Things R&D Base of the Department of Industrial Engineering, Tsinghua University and is now the pillar platform of Zijin (Gaochun) Special Community for Hi-tech Entrepreneurships. The Community has also established 18 industrial alliances with colleges and universities for integrated political, production, study and research activities, as well as 11 cooperative projects with the institutions directly under the CAS for integrated production, study and research activities. It is holding 30 intellectual member institutions including academician workstations, postdoctor workstations and engineering technology centers, and has successfully introduced a number of projects including the first hi-tech industrial park under IBM's "SEED Program" and the Meiwei Hi-tech Park as well as 12 software and service outsourcing companies such as Oracle and Beijing Huadi. Next, it will, with the ambition of "one year for community framing, two years for project incubation, three years for corporation development, four years for scale effects and five years for corporate IPO", endeavor to build platform carriers with city-wide advantages in space carrier and technological innovation and mechanism innovation base with comparative adavantages in competition. Over the following year, it aims to carry out the 60-thousand-square-meter second stage of the New Community Hi-tech Entrepreneurship Center, to build 100,000 square meters of talent apartments, another 100,000 square meters of industrial park for developed corporations, and a 25-thousand-square-meter talent training center, and to bring in 2 emerging industry innovation centers, one institution of a world-top-500 corporation, one campus technological park, 100 hi-tech incubation projects, 40 developed corporations and over 260 hi-tech entrepreneurial pioneers and badly-demanded hi-tech entrepreneurs.
