Nanjing has two class 1 ports. Ships of foreign nationalities can reach Nanjing’s port directly through the Yangtze River estuary. Over 140 passenger and freight flights serving regions in China and Asia and connecting to European and American countries are easily accessible from Nanjing Lukou International Airport. Nanjing has two land customs supervision points, enabling direct customs clearance for sea and land transportation; one railway customer supervision point with international container trains from Nanjing to Alashankou. In addition, Nanjing has set up special customs supervision zones such as export processing zones and bonded logistics centers (type B) and provides enterprises with services such as bonded processing and bonded logistics.
The 2013 Asian Youth Games and 2014 Youth Olympic Games will be held in Nanjing. International Olympic Committee (IOC) family members from 205 countries and regions will gather in Nanjing during these events, providing an excellent opportunity and platform to showcase Nanjing and China.
